Justine DiCostanzo (Owner) began her journey with Joseph Pilates (Contrology method)exercise while nursing a spinal injury at 14 from dancing. She was attending The High School Of Performing Arts in NYC and maintaining a scholarship at American Ballet Theatre School. Having studied with numerous practitioners of Pilates' work and having taught for over 30 years she still feels strongly that Pilates' work withstands the test of time if you want to maintain a healthier mind and body. Justine continued a full dance career as Principal Dancer with Comphania Dance De Lisboa, Ballet Hispanico Of New York and a wide variety of leads in Broadway Musicals. She's given leadership and support to The PMA and to Career Transition For Dancers. She's a member of IADMS(International Association of Dance Medicine and Science) and holds certificates of studies from West Side Dance Physical Therapy and IADMS.
She's connected doctors and physical therapists in the importance of Pilates in injury prevention and body maintenance.
She's worked with Spondylothesis patients, ACL tears , Plantar Fasciitis, post-operative bone fusion of spinal column, disc herniations and an array of other pathologies, Knee, foot, back and ankle.
Her classical training of Pilates work has been with Romana Kryzanowska, Carrola Trier, Steve Giordano, Anderson-Kasikove and Ron Fletcher.
